When Mats Grönmark, earlier in Eve and the 
Last Waltz, Burek V och Hellon, makes his 
solo-debut he does it with an alternative-country 
that if anything deserves the increased genre 
description alternative-alternativecountry, says 
UNT´s Andreas Jakobsson.

If there is anything that distinguishes the artists 
in and around the small label Rhythm Ace 
Recordings is that anything they do they do it full-on.

Now when Mats Grönmark, who earlier played with 
Eve and the Last Waltz, Burek V and Hellon makes 
his debut, he does it with an alternative-country 
that if anything deserves the increased genre 
description alternative-alternativecountry.
It whines and suffers and winds it´s way forward
and in spite of fiddles, double bass and pedal 
steel-guitars if often sounds closer to psychedelic 
music than cowpushing-pop. And after some
sceptical listens it sounds really good.
